I’m back (again)!

Spent way too much time on the road today, especially in cabs on the roads of Bangkok. OMG. Bangkok traffic is truly a killer.

I am so completely bushed! Need to get to bed now but I can’t wait to start posting peektures, from Paris to Vienna to Bangkok!

In other news, someone bought me a one-way ticket to Nevada for 29 December. Don’t freak out, I’m not moving there (yet). I’m just going to stay a coupla months and see how it goes. You know what this means… Free shipping and free returns on all my shopping! Woohoo! No more wasting money on things that don’t fit and cost too much to ship back!

Talk to you guys real soon!

A Bangkok Preview

Hi everyone! I am now in Bangkok!

Not much variation in fashion to be worn here due to luggage constraint and weather, but I did take along my Lagon MPP for peekture ops!

20121126-172209.jpg

I also brought my two new silk dresses from Johnny Was. Love them so much! Might wear one to dinner tomorrow night. Will post peektures then!

Shopping loot from Thailand

Sorry guys, this may be a rather boring entry!

bB’s little haul from Thailand! Dresses…

20120219-211242.jpg

20120219-211306.jpg

PJ shorts…

20120219-211346.jpg

This awesome hat was less than S$10 and is so much nicer than the one from Bintan for like S$20! Loves it!

20120219-211446.jpg

My favourite buys of the entire trip… Plain, ultra-soft tees for S$4 each. I wish I bought more of these! Wouldn’t mind heading back just to grab more of them!

20120219-211530.jpg

And satin drawstring bags from Naraya… Super handy for packing and traveling. :)

20120219-211740.jpg

Everything is crazy cheap over there! Now I know why people go there just to shop. I would do it too!

The day after the wedding

It was the last day at Koh Tao! There was a precious half a day left before we had to check out of our villas and get picked up for the ferry.

20120218-151214.jpg

20120218-151235.jpg

20120218-151304.jpg

We finally used our complimentary massage vouchers given by Koh Tao Cabana. I wish we could have discovered this earlier. It was the best massage I have ever had! And I’m not even big on massages. This 15-minute short session has completely changed my mind!

After my amazing massage, I was waiting for Sui so I read two pages of this book in the waiting lounge of the massage parlour. What a sad story! It’s probably very inspiring towards the end though.

20120218-151906.jpg

20120218-151930.jpg

Sui was done and off we went for a last ride on the ATV before I had to return it. We explored a different resort, some way further down the road.

The big day

We gathered bright and early at 7 am for the big day of Marsyas and Mel, two wonderful people. <3

It started off with two boat taxi’s that took us to a secret island location…

20120217-120836.jpg

Prem took some wonderful peektures so I’m borrowing a few to mix with my own, to paint a clearer peekture of the wonderful day and to share with you how beautiful it was!

bB’s Mission Sandcastle #3! Wasn’t as good as #2 because of the conditions! It was way too hot and the sand kept drying up, which made it very crumbly in the wind! And it was scorching to work in the bright, bright sun.

20120217-122511.jpg

And there were too many people around! bB started out with a nice clear background but by the time she was done, deck chairs and other humans had gathered all around. Sigh. There was no way to get a peekture with just an open sandy beach.

Nevertheless, bB was glad to have completed Mission Sandcastle #3. :)

Later that night, we attended the wedding banquet at Rimlae, the resort restaurant.

The day before the wedding

It was another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and not a drop of rain in sight. We started the day with the same awesome brekkie at Rimlae, with lots of yummy yoghurt.

20120213-200416.jpg

The rest of the party went ahead to their mass massage outing while bB headed back to the villa for a nap and leisurely shower, before riding out to meet up with everyone in the village.

20120213-200729.jpg

Man I seriously love my ATV. And so does Turtle.

20120213-200819.jpg

After everyone came out of the massage parlour, there was a small problem of transportation. Our lunch venue was some way out of the village and there were not quite enough riders. So I took Sui and Kate, while Edwin took Nana, the groom’s 92 year old grandma. She was the toughest little old lady I have ever met!

It was pretty fun having two girls as my pillions. Some passing tourists took peektures of us. We should have taken one as well but we were having too much fun and forgot about it.

Lunch was at a rustic little restaurant.

A little friend came to say hello on my hand…

20120213-202655.jpg

After a hearty lunch, we sent everyone back to their villas and helped prepare for the chill-out party at Mel’s bridal villa. Sui and I rode around the island looking for cucumbers and electrical cords. We were secretly happy at the chance to go riding.

Sui and Val also moved into a nicer place with two bedrooms, due to a cancellation by another family.

20120216-234008.jpg

It was lovely to chill out, relax and mingle with everyone. After that, we rode out (yay night riding!) to have a quick dinner before calling it an early night. Because we were assembling at 7 am the next day!
