By the third day, the jerk had shown his true colours and after my rejection of his physical advances, he had completely vanished. Just as well, I went shopping on my own. :)
Free People thermal top, old denim skirt,
Alexander McQueen scarf, Frye Carmens in Black.
With Balenciaga moto jacket and
Rose Thulian Mini Pompon.
I loved the courtyard.
Having my favourite meal!
Look at the oozy goodness!
Hitting the mall on my own.
Trying an adorable Chloe Baby Paraty!
Pretty details everywhere.
Grey and gloomy but full of intrigue.
Loved the fancy roof detailing.
Walking to Ralph Lauren, I saw this.
Had no idea what it was.
But it looked like a touristy thing, so I took peektures LOL!
Cute little florist shoppes.
Beautiful at night.
Beautiful window displays.
Loving all the glass canisters.
Tonnes of sweet things!
Marshmallows or Turkish Delight?
I was lingering, trying to take more peektures.
And all sorts of pretty things.
Briefly tempted by the recipe book.
They really know how to draw people in.
I paid 2 Euros to use this toilet.
It sure was a nice toilet.
I then had the most expensive awful meal at Laduree’s restaurant.
We got off to a good start with nice breads and water in a crystal jug.
The restaurant was cosy and nicely set up.
My starter of foie gras with rose macaron.
It was… interesting. Not fantastic.
I had high hopes on the steak but I should have realised everything
on the menu would be sweet. Including steak.
I was all sugared out by the time dessert came. I must say,
the ice cream was the most enjoyable part of the meal.
And of course, by the time the macarons came,
I could hardly take another bite of something sweet.
But I had to. I was at Laduree!
They were excellent, of course. But I could not finish them. Blasphemy!
I still love them. Just not with an entirely sweet meal.
My little loot of the day!
Coming up… A simple last day in Paris and we are off to Vienna!
