Balenciaga Lagon Classic Mini Pompon

Okay, I am long overdue for posts… but I am just about to wrap up my current project! Am kinda restless so I shall do a quick, brainless entry… My newest MPP!

Awww <3

And a Tiny City charm in Mangue! I never thought about buying one of the Tiny First charms because the size was too small for even cards, but the Tiny City is the right size! You can put a stack of cards in. Though it’s not easy getting the entire stack out at the same time, it is quite easy to flip through and take one card out at a time according to whichever card you need.

Lagon was a bit of a surprise! A good one! In fact, it turned out perfect! So, we know Bal colours can be super tricky to photograph accurately. I have been worried that Lagon would turn out too blue to be a true turquoise. Most peektures I saw were more blu-ish than I liked. And it’s so strange for me to be saying this because I’m a bloo girl through and through! But in this case, there was a different, higher purpose. And that was, to match my turquoise Baccarat pendant!

After lots of to-ing and fro-ing about whether I should go for it, I did. And it was double the fun from mutual encouragement with Ches. We did a combined order from Cannes!

Her Town, Tiny Cities and Mini Mini!

Wheee!

Jacynthe is so awesome

I thought about a Jacynthe MPP

Thankfully, it didn’t exist.

Okay, back to work for bB!

First exploration, Taipei

After a long and tiring day traveling and hanging out at night, bB slept a long time, well into the next day! It was so nice to sleep in the cold weather, wrapped up in a cocoon of thick feather doona. Completely missed the hotel brekkie (till 10 am). It was lunch time by the time bB managed to get out of the hotel room.

There was a cute sushi place pretty much right next door to the hotel, on the ground floor. I thought it was a very convenient place to have a quick and easy lunch.

Conveyor belt sushi, that we have so many of in Singapore. How ironic that my first actual meal in Taipei was at one of these. LOL. But the location was just awesome.

20120411-155729.jpg

20120411-155749.jpg

They had okra on the menu. bB loves okra. This is seldom on the menu in Singapore, at most conveyor belt sushi places.

20120411-155809.jpg

This was some lobster cheese sushi, and it was so terrible that bB only had one bite of it.

20120411-155829.jpg

Thankfully, the salmon sashimi was good and fresh.

20120411-155858.jpg

And the eel handroll was decent too.

20120411-155918.jpg

Flying fish roe sushi was also decent.

20120411-155944.jpg

Everything was NT$30 (approx. S$1.20)  per plate, so it was good not to expect too much.

20120411-160016.jpg

After that, bB went into the underground mall (East Metro Mall) at the Zhongxiao Dunhua Metro station. The intention was to find a pair of comfy boots, as it was turning out to be quite cold and my hotel was further from Vi’s than I expected. Hence, I wanted to be prepared for a fair bit of walking.

Unfortunately, many of the shops were closed for renovation.

20120411-160056.jpg

But! There was one shoe shoppe open!

20120411-160114.jpg

And bB bought the cheapest boots she has ever bought in her life. NT$200 (approx. S$8). So super comfy.

20120411-160138.jpg

There was also a cute trinket shoppe, where I saw these Hermes Carmen look-alikes. Pretty well done.

20120411-160201.jpg

And since I was in Taipei, I should try an authentic bubble tea. There was this famous little tea stall in the alley beside the hotel. So I bought a cup.

20120411-160222.jpg

It turned out waaaaaay too sweet. Days later when I spoke to some locals, they told me it was normal for the milk tea to be too sweet, and people usually ask for 30% 微糖 or 50% sugar 半糖.

bB chilled out in the hotel room, unpacked a little and got ready to meet Vi and Mike at Taipei 101…

A little Christmas charm

This is a very late entry to say THANK YOU to Mica for the little surprise that came in the mail before Christmas!

20120109-134544.jpg

Love the festive box it came in!

And inside was a sweet little gift, nicely wrapped, with a cute little card.

20120109-134756.jpg

I have actually stopped buying charms, so I most definitely do not have any of the new limited edition boxes!

20120109-134926.jpg

It was the new hot chocolate charm! <3

20120109-135049.jpg

Even though I have stopped collecting charms, I am still very drawn to some of the food charms. And the hot chocolate was definitely one of the few I liked very much. Thank you, Mica! You are so awesome! <3

A tiny carton of eggs

It’s been a while since I bought one of these. I couldn’t resist this one when it was offered by a local site…

It came very nicely wrapped. Good job on the presentation!

Love the details on this charm. Juicy Couture did an awesome job on the design. How cute is that tiny chick and those teeny weeny colourful eggses?

I love eggs. I can eat them cooked in any way, at any time of the day!
