My name is Jessica Val. I am a translator who works from home, on a tiny island all of 42 km wide, otherwise known as Singapore.
I was named blooberrymuffin by one of my best friends in Melbourne. She is the chockichipmuffin. Melbourne is my other home, and I miss it everyday.
I am a little bit geeky, a little bit girly, a little bit punk, a little bit shy, a little bit silly.
I love my family and my friends. <3
I love most animals, especially jumping spiders (salticidae), iguanas (and other big lizards), squirrels, cats and big dogs. Only exceptions are mozzies and sandflies that seem to love me a little too much for my liking. Also have no love for roaches.
I love food and am always looking for new eateries to try. My favourite meal is brunch.
I love 8-ball, and don’t play enough these days.
I love my old teddy bear. I have had him since I was two years old.
I love the smell of fresh linen, a good thunderstorm, freshly baked cookies, shared laughter and stolen giggles.
I love science fiction and fantasy.
I love pretty little things. My girly obsessions include Balenciaga, beautiful stationery, things that are well made or thoughtfully designed. I am currently slightly obsessed with Shappo and the Sentimental Circus. <3
I love to travel. And I travel for a long time. This is possible because I can work from anywhere in the world. The world is my office and my playground.
And I look forward to sharing a little bit of my life with you.

ps. Oh, and Mr Bb’s nickname isn’t anything to do with blooberrymuffins. He is, in fact, Mr Boston-blue-eyes. We have gone our separate ways, though we are still good friends.

Thanks for coming by too! I love your charm bracelets. Right now I’m in a phase of not wearing any jewelry but I used to wear bracelets just like those, and loved them very much! Looking at yours brings back nice memories for me. Singapore is a nice, safe place to live but I can never stay for too long, and probably will not stay here forever either. I think I love it more as a visitor, instead of a resident! :)
