Saturday morning, bB was at Spruce for brekkie with mR.
Boy was it difficult finding a place that took reservations on a weekend! Spruce turned out to be a good choice. Previously, I had dinner here with Kate (and Jerrell) and the food was quite awesome. As it turns out, brekkie is good too!
My quarter-shot latte was quite decent. I had to repeat my instructions though… The first time round, I could see in the waitress’s eyes that it didn’t quite register. So after a while, I called her over and told her again. Turns out my hunch was right – she didn’t understand the first time. LOL!
I had the Spruce Eggs Benny, which are served on on waffles. This was quite good except that the bacon was too salty. I only had one piece of bacon and left the other uneaten. But the eggs combined with waffles was quite delicious! Who woulda thunk?
The rain came down during brekkie and we were a little worried as we were heading to Universal Studios. Thankfully, it stopped! And it did a good job of cooling down everything too!
