With love from the USA

These were all the stuff Vi and Mike carried all the way to Taipei for me, from NH. When I saw how much there was, I almost fell over. In fact, Vi and Mike had to walk me back to the hotel and help carry everything back.

Let’s start with the stars of this entry. Vi was so sneaky about it! She told me they wouldn’t have enough luggage space to carry much. So I really wasn’t expecting TWO Balenciaga Classic Mini Pompons to show up!

The plan was to bring only Glycine… But look who is here too! <3

The two best colours of S/S 2012!

Rose Bruyere and Glycine! <3

My very special Glycine Classic Mini Pompon (thank you, Mr Bb!) which is such a perfect shade of dark lilac. I was so relieved when I saw it in person. I was a little concerned that it was gonna be a pale pastel lilac (which will be hard to take care of) but it turned out absolutely perfect. I was also worried about the leather texture being too smooth or thin, but it was thick and scrummy! Loves it!

Rose Bruyere was a colour that smacked me right in the head, like I told a few people. I did not intend to like this colour so much, but it still happened anyway. Steve of Costa Mesa picked out the most beautiful leather I have seen on a Mini Pompon so far. Absolutely amazing. I was prepared to wait a few weeks before Vi could ship it to me, but she did the most awesome thing by bringing it to Taipei!

Here’s another set of peektures for a second reveal! I could not resist, since we had such pretty sunlight and cute window seats.

Moving along, we have more sneakiness from Vi. She told me she could only buy two pairs of denim shorts for me from A&F Kids, but she secretly bought the cotton shorts that I also wanted! :)

And two gigantic packets of Tootsie Rolls, which I love. <3 Mike found these ones for me, which have pretty pink and green packaging!

20120412-183631.jpg

A super soft and cute squirrel friend, clutching the most hilarious “Live free or die” keychain from New Hampshire! Vi tells me there are lots of squirrels where they live. I have to go see them one day!

An adorable Totoro pouch, which has been kidnapped by my niece. That’s okay though, she would probably get more use out of it. I have waaaaay too many pouches!

20120412-183719.jpg

And the softest, comfiest hoodie I have ever touched in my life! I love this so much.  It also has that awesome A&F scent that I’m reluctant to wash off. Can’t wait to go somewhere cold again so I can snuggle in it all day!

20120412-183738.jpg

And last but not least, Tokyo Banana! They had their transit in Narita and I mentioned this to her as some of the stuff she should try. Can’t believe she grabbed a box for me!

LOVES YA, BFF! You are the best. I miss you already! <3

Taipei 101

Hanging out with Vi and Mike at Taipei 101!

First, we had a bit of fun at Toy Land, where there were some Blythe stuff to entice Vi.

Then, we went to Page One, where I found Starry starry night 星空 by Jimmy Liao 几米, as well as a special edition on the movie. Mr Bb and I watched this movie a coupla weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Brilliant scenes, beautiful settings, a simple yet effective plot, and a stellar cast.

We then tried to find a Balenciaga store in the building, but to our surprise, there wasn’t one! So we explored the food court for dinner.

Vi and I decided on this healthy tonic soup stall. That man in the peekture? He had some serious issues. I’ve never met a service person as rude and mean as he was! We ordered vermicelli, a tonic soup for Vi and a pig kidneys soup for me. The vermicelli was very nice and smooth (after you drench it with soup), but the kidneys were terrible.

That’s Mike’s Korean hotplate in the foreground. It was way better than ours, I think! But we were just happy to be eating together anyway.

After that, we looked around for dessert options. How adorable are these cupcakes? They look just like the ones I had in Japan!

We found a lovely French bakery with gorgeous looking bread…

bB had a raspberry and cream ice cream cone from Movenpick. I was their last customer of the day!

It was yummo.

Mike had a  mysterious little box…

Which opened up to this beautiful creation…

It tasted as good as it looked.

We didn’t do the touristy thing by going up to the top of the tower. I guess we weren’t very touristy in general. LOL! We were just happy to hang out and spend time together, doing simple things. :)
