Forever New

Did a spot of shopping the other day while waiting for a late coffee date. And chanced upon a lovely silk blouse at Forever New, Wisma Atria.

The name of this boutique sounds a little corny, like a neighbourhood shop, but their items are pretty expensive and quite well made. I believe they are from Australia.

Loved this blouse on first sight! <3 S$99.

Also tried a dress that looked really promising on the rack but was a little too overwhelming on the ruffles on bB. S$219.

Passed on the dress but nabbed the blouse! :)

**The Macaron Scribbles** : Paul

Paul is a new bakery cafe in Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya, that has been drawing the crowds with the awesome aromas of baking wafting around. All the breads looked amazing. Kate loves bread so we will definitely have lunch or brunch there one day! The seating area looks lovely, with full length glass panels and lots of daylight.

bB could not pass up the chance for an on-the-go entry for **The Macaron Scribbles**.

The macarons are gigantic! S$6.50 each.

This one was raspberry.

Worst. Macaron. Ever. bB did not waste calories finishing this. The remains were left covered by a napkin to rest in peace.

Paul is probably best at baking breads, which I’m still up for trying sometime. Macarons are obviously not their forte.

Lunch @ Shashlik

Shashlik has the most amazing borsch in the world. I swear.

The lunch sets are cheap, at S$12. Add S$1 to change chicken soup to borsch.

Which comes in a smaller size than their standard soup. So bB had to order an extra full serve of borsch to share for two.

After which she was a little too full of borsch, but happily so. :)

Managed to eat 3/4 of the chicken cutlet, fries and vegetables. Fries and vegetables were sub-par, chicken cutlet was above average.

Dessert was some ho-hum canned fruits in syrup.

bB might stick to the tried and tested winning combo of borsch and shashlik beef the next time. Still one of bB’s favourite places to eat, although they really should try to air out the place. Chairs are starting to smell kinda stale…
