Getting to Koh Tao

Entries on this adventure in Thailand will be a little disorganised… There are peektures in so many cameras from so many people! I’ll post what I have in my iPhone for now and randomly post other better peektures from other people when I get them.

So the reason for this rather large-scale adventure was the wedding of two amazing people, Marsyas and Melissa. More than 30 people attended, with the fun starting in Bangkok, pre-train drinks at the rooftop bar of Banyan Tree Bangkok, an overnight train journey to Chumphon, a ferry ride to Koh Tao, five lovely days in Koh Tao and surrounding islands, and then ferry and train rides back to Bangkok again.

I only had a coupla peektures in my iPhone from Banyan Tree, but rest assured there will be tonnes of peektures posted from other cameras soon…

The view was amazing. A little scary but still amazing!

The overnight train ride was a tonne of fun. We basically took over the entire cabin because there were so many of us!

The seats transform into bunk beds and you can draw the curtains to make a tiny private room for yourself. Pretty neat.

At 5 friggin am, we arrived at Chumphon station. Another bus ride later, we were at the ferry terminal, waiting for the ferry to Koh Tao. It started to pour, which made it slightly challenging dragging luggage across a very rickety pier.

Two hours later, we are finally at Koh Tao!

Back in the hood

bB is back in Singapore! Still in one piece though a little worse for wear after two accidents. LOL! Nothing major though, and no broken bones.

Oddly, both accidents occurred while walking along on relatively non-treacherous ground, despite riding an all-terrain vehicle for days on horribly uneven roads full of potholes (with not a single mishap).

A million peektures coming up soon!
