If there’s one thing bB has noticed in the world of macarons, it is the use of strange colours that do not always correspond with the flavours. LOL! Why would Lemon Raspberry be a green macaron?

First to be munched, the Pineapple macaron…

bB did not enjoy this. It was way, way too sweet with the pineapple jam bits within. It felt like a macaron trying to be a pineapple tart but did not have the buttery goodness of a tart to balance the sweetness of the pineapple. The fibrous pineapple jam also adds to the rough texture of the macaron. Not a good combination.

bB had higher hopes for the Lemon Raspberry…

Thankfully, she was not disappointed. The biscuit itself was just a slight tad too sweet, but the smooth, buttercream and raspberry jam filling were delicious. If they could cut down the sweetness of the biscuit by just a tad, it would be perfect.

The jury is still out on ET Artisan Sweets. Stay tuned for the taste report on the last two macarons, Yuzu and Rose!
