My first black Balenciaga

So, after tea at House that day, the girls and I zipped to Balenciaga Hilton because I found out from the store manager that there were Black Mini Pompons in the store!

Out of four, this one had the best leather. Thick and distressed, it wasn’t very soft but I expect that it will get softer after it is broken in.

I have never worn any of my Mini Pompons cross-body because I don’t want to subject them to abrasion or colour transfer. However, I am considering it for the black, since it is the hardiest colour and leather. This could be my one and only cross-body MPP!

Or I may shorten the strap like what I did with all my MPPs. We shall see…

Something funny happened in the store. As I was trying the black MPP on, I left my Cyclamen MPP on the display as you can see in the peektures. One of the customers actually thought it was for sale and wanted to buy it. LOL!

I finally have a black Balenciaga. :) Which is what I guess most people get as their first Bal. I’m a bit of an oddball.

Perfect for bad weather days or traversing the world with me as my travel bag!

  1. haha I think my black Bal was my 5th or 6th….no rush, you have to wait for the perfect style and hardware combination. Anyone can get a black bag, you got to wait until you find that special black bal :)

  2. Hi! Thanks for the pompon modeling posts. I’m the same size as you and am trying to decide between a crossbody mini pompon or a part time. Also, what color would you say is your favorite?

    • If you carry more stuff, you need a Part-time, if you carry fewer stuff, you will love the MPP. :)

I’d say Coquelicot is my favourite, with Atlantique a very close second. That goes to show what an awesome red Coquelicot is, because blue is my favourite colour.
