bB: I just remembered my dream. I was building a sand castle.
Mr Bb: Where were you?
Mr Bb: Really?
bB: Beach was cloudy and cool. And nicer than Singapore beaches.
Mr Bb: I had an idea for your birthday. Luckily it would allow us to build a sand castle.
Mr Bb: What are you, an owl?
bB: Owls go hooo!
Mr Bb: Not Chinese ones.
bB: Well? Are you going to tell me or keep me in suspense?
Mr Bb: Banyan Tree Bintan. Have you been?
Mr Bb: Ni Yao Qu Ma? (Do you want to go?)
bB: Hokay. :)
This will be bB’s first time at a proper beach resort!

He mixes his own fruit yoghurt with dried cranberries, flaxseed powder, and sometimes a bit of protein powder. This one had mashed bananas as well. The protein powder gives it a vanilla taste which I like very much. Makes it taste like ice cream. <3
He offered to let me decorate his plate but I thought it was more interesting to see our creative differences. :D

Lunch with Kate at Imperial Treasure Teochew Cuisine on a Tuesday arvo. Imperial Treasure is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Everything I’ve tried is so good!
A new dish we tried was the deep fried squid.
I’ve tried many deep fried squid dishes in my life at many places and I have to say this could easily be one of the best. The batter wasn’t too heavy and the squid flesh was succulently tender. Kate approved as well.
I also had a few of my regular favourites, roast pork and deep fried intestines.
Imperial Treasure absolutely has the best roast pork EVER. Deep fried intestines were awesome as well.
I gobbled everything with a bowl of smooth, plain congee.
And we finished off with red bean pancake for dessert.
Absolutely stuffed but very satisfying!
